THE PENNY (ONE-CENT COIN) HAS BEEN RETIRED AS OF JUNE 2025

The penny (one-cent coin) has been retired as of June 2025.

  • Water billing will remain the same.
  • When paying cash for your water utility service bill, the Cash totals will be rounded up.
  • No impact if the change amount being charged ends in 0 cents or 5 cents.
  • No impact on card payments when paying thru the website or pay by phone options.
  • No rounding needed if paying by check or money order.

Pennies are still legal to use, but no new ones are provided by the bank(s).
